Introduction

Chad Hamel-Smith
Modern Performance Specialist

Gorgeous styling, a luxurious interior and thrilling performance all combine to make the Jaguar F-Type one of the most desirable sports cars on the road today.

The Jaguar F-Type was big news when launched in 2013; the F-type was praised as being the sportiest Jaguar since the XJ220, and the eager press and public were not disappointed. As a genuine two-seater sports car, not only did the F-Type coupe and roadster undercut their rivals for the price, but also filled a niche that slotted in between the V8 market and the compact mainstream sports car.

Visually taking more than a fair share of styling cues from the C-X16 concept car, the 3.0-litre cars were available with two engine options, with this V6 S model being the most sought-after / higher performance version. It has ~40hp more power and results in ~half a second quicker 0-60 time - so a big step up from the entry-level model. With its quality styling, aggressively good looks and choice of materials, the F-Type is a formidable force when it comes to the modern performance car market.

This particular model comes presented in a superb coat of Ammonite Gray Metallic and looks stunning across its panels. Jaguar prestige is everywhere on this F-Type with noticeable attention to detail inside and out. Intricate stitching on the cream white leathers and copper style touches on the power mode shifter with matched paddle shift gear option give a great sense of class through the interior. Looking outside the vehicle, 20" five-spoke split alloys, red calliper discs, sporty S decals and bi-function HID headlights set the exterior off nicely.

Coming to market with just 2 former keepers and ~30,960 miles on the clock at time of visit, this 3.0 V6 Jag is ready for its next adventure with its future owner.

The price quoted here is fully inclusive, i.e. there's nothing else to pay on top and also includes free delivery to any mainland UK destination. I'm here to answer any questions you may have about the car - just select the red 'I'm Interested' button above to get in contact with me.

Exterior

Jaguar designer Ian Callum claims that the F-Type is one of his favourite creations to date, and with its overall profile giving incredible road presence it’s hard to disagree.

Wheels and Tyres

The 20" five-spoke split alloys are in excellent condition, likewise is the full set of Pirelli P Zeros tyres.

The red Jaguar centre caps are in good condition too with no signs of corrosion and contrast well with the red callipers behind.

Please check out the images to see the condition of each wheel and tyre.

Bodywork

This Jaguar’s bodywork is in excellent condition; looking around the car there are no dings that we noted. The door shut lines are visually equal and matching, as are the bonnet and boot.

Looking really closely there was a slight mark just above the exhaust surround but nothing that presented too much of a concern.

We've highlighted in more detail our observations through our hi-resolution images and videos, so please take time to look through all the media files for a detailed view at what’s on offer, and for you to assess the condition of the car for yourselves.

Paint

Presented in a lovely looking coat of Ammonite Gray Metallic (Paint code 1AB) the Jaguar shows beautifully across every angle. The finish is excellent and on our visit we noticed no concerning imperfections or cause for concern looking round the vehicle.

Again, we have taken high resolution images and videos of the car for you to assess the condition of the bodywork for yourselves. The images are taken from a few different angles to show off the car as you would see it if you were standing there for yourselves. So please take the time to fully assess these high resolution images and videos of the car, for you to make up your own minds about the condition of the paint.

Glass and Trim

The windows all around look to be in good order, with no noticeable scratches. The headlights and rear lights are all free from any chips or cracks in the lenses, and the external trims for the windows are in good condition, again with no issues, which we could see.

Take a look through the exterior gallery and review video, we take you across all the areas of the car as if you were standing there for yourself. This way, you can see in greater detail what a handsome looking car the Jaguar really is.

Interior

Sublime white leather embraces the driver and passenger, and with its intricate detailing throughout the interior, its truly an inviting place to be.

Seats and Carpets

The full leather seats are in great condition, on the whole the leather is undamaged and free from any rips or tears.

The contrasting black stitch on the cream white leather makes the interior a really inviting place to be. The sport style seating gives the driver and passenger a great position to take in the road ahead.

The door cards are also in great condition with no scuffs or damage.

Likewise the carpets are in good condition too with the Jaguar branded mats free from any spots of wear or damage.

Dashboard

The Jaguar quality really shows throughout the car, and the appealing dashboard is in a lovely condition with leather and dials all looking good and minimal signs of wear.

The instruments present really well showing no signs of fogging or display issues with the odometer showing a reading of ~30,960 miles on the clock during our visit. To the centre, the main screen shows the satellite navigation system and infotainment system which we show in more detail on our 'Interior review' video.

Our interior gallery section takes you over some closer images of the F-Type's dashboard, head over and see the cars interior in finer detail.

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

The leather-bound flat-bottomed steering wheel is in great order as you would expect, and the multi-function controls are working as they should and show little signs of any wear.

For those who prefer a more engaging drive feel, there is the option to change gear via the paddle shifters mounted behind the wheel which are presented in an attractive copper finish.

We've captured high-resolution photos for you to review and appreciate the condition of the interior in our gallery section.

Mechanics

The 3.0L powerhouse under the bonnet packs a mighty punch thanks to its vocal V6 supercharged engine.

Engine and Gearbox

On the cold start we found no issues on our observations with the F-Type firing up without hesitation; as you would expect with just ~30,960 miles covered. The gearbox is reported as fully functional with no issues observed as well as the twin-shot exhaust mounted in the centre of the rear.

Take a look at our "Mechanical Review" video where we start the Jaguar up and give a tour around the mechanical components including an engine bay overview.

Suspension and Brakes

Being the S model, the suspension has been tweaked to give a slightly sportier ride and a firmer feel. Out on the road, the car is reported as handling very nicely delivering everything the owner should need.

The car is fitted with the desirable Dynamic Package which allows you to set the throttle response, suspension, steering and gear changes from Comfort up to Dynamic Sport.

The current owner reports that the brakes bring the F-Type to a stop in good time with no pulling to either side, or juddering coming through the pedal.

You'll notice some surface corrosion on the brake discs, this is purely because the car hasn't been driven for a few day and it quite normal. It will brush off once the car is used next time.

The Drive

Out on the road the F-Type is a really special drive, plenty of flair thanks to its sporty edge and refined grace, courtesy of that classic Jaguar heritage - it's a real head turner for all the right reasons.

When you take the F-Type to the next level and open up the 3.0L V6 you unlock everything else this car has to offer. Aggressive and sporty, this high performance Jaguar delivers some serious pulling power.

We couldn't do our normal 'On the Road' video during the shoot due to the weather, as salt had been put on the roads, and as such the owner understandably didn't want to take the car out in these conditions. However, he assures us all is working as expected with no issues.

Electrics and Other

All of the electronics are reportedly working as they should. A large display screen allows you to control the media in the car with integrated sat nav, parking assistance with a reversing camera, electronic adjustable seats, multifunction steering wheel, Meridian stereo sound system and dual-zone climate control all functioning without issue.

A nice addition to the interior electronics is the switchable sports exhaust which gives the driver the option of a more 'neighbour friendly' or added aggression option to the F-Type sound when driving.

History and Paperwork

With just 2 former keepers and ~30,960 miles covered at time of visit, the F-Type has been treated to regular Jaguar servicing over its history.

The F-Type comes with an up to date MOT valid until 25.02.2023, shows no advisories from its testing, and as part of its relatively short history given its age, comes with regular Jaguar serving in 2017, 2018, 2021 and 2022.

2017 shows a service level that included its scheduled service and renewal of the oil and oil filter and 2018 included the scheduled service, oil change and filter as well as a renewal of the pollen filter.

In 2021 servicing included all previously mentioned plus a renewal of the engine air filter. The most recent service covered a Jaguar health check, interim service and oil change at a cost of £285.

We've summarised our own view on the car based on seeing the car in person and from information gained from the seller, however, and as you can see, we go to great lengths to photograph and video the car in hi-resolution detail - this has been done for you to make your own assessment from the comfort of your sofa. So please sit back, have a cuppa and take your time to review everything on this listing in order to make your own assessment on the vehicle's condition. Viewings are also welcomed with all our listings, so please get in touch with us to arrange a suitable time - we just need to speak to you first and receive a valid photo ID before confirming.

We’ve done all our usual seller checks including photo ID, V5 and also actioned a HPi check on the vehicle. Please note, the car may be in daily use, so the mileage may increase from that shown here - you can request an update check with us after you register your interest.
