Introduction
Paul Wright
A desirable low number produced hand-built British classic.
With just ~258 units produced between 1978 and 1979, it’s safe to say the TVR 3000 S is not only the first true production convertible to come from Blackpool-based TVR but also one of the most early desirable models to own.
Based on the final evolution of the M-Series, the 3000 S convertible replaced the 3000 M coupe and features a lightweight fibreglass body mounted to a tubular backbone chassis with a front-engined Ford Essex 3.0-litre V6 powerhouse which produces approximately ~140bhp and around 170lb-ft of torque, driven through a four-speed manual gearbox straight to the rear wheels.
Coming to market from just over ~5.5 years with our vendor, the 3000 S features a lightweight construction with a V6 engine, laid-back, charming British character that is massively appealing to any classic car enthusiast.
This listing was written from information supplied by Paul after meeting Miguel the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.
